Default 97 m6 to 01 ls1 4l60e ???

What crossmember do I need to use for this swap? I have the one of the donor car but the 97 is different I can't use it. It has nowhere to bolt to on the floor pan like on the 01??? Do I need a crosmember for a 97?auto

Ok I am not sure wtf to do I bought one for the 93-97door auto and its off 1 5/8in center of stud to the center of the hole? I've tried a search but had no luck. Did I get one for an m6 maybe?

Your car is a 97, and the donor car is an 01? I'm not sure if the tranny crossmembers are different between the 97 V6 and V8, but I had a m5 V6 before I did my swap and I used my stock 97 V6 cross-member. I just lengthened the hole for the tranny bolt. It barely makes it, but it does.

Try either drilling out/lengthening the hole in a 97 crossmember, or do what another member did on here and weld a piece of 1/4" to your stock crossmember, and then drill a hole in that for the tranny bolt.

Yea the stud on the tranny mount sits even with the outside lip on the back side of the crossmember so I am just going to fab something up (really was hoping not to) and later get umi to make me a custom one.
