Line pressure question.

Line pressure question.
So I have been rebuilding my 4l60e and ran into a problem/question. Is there any way to set or even tell if the force motor is operating at stock pressure? It had a shift kit in it before I got the car and I dont know if the line pressure has been bumped up or not. I have heard many say that there is no way to tell what it is set at but I just want to confirm this. Just trying to save a little time by not having to drain all the fluid and tinkering with it since I am working under the car without a lift.
Thanks, Colby.

I see you posted this question a few days ago as jgrracing. Perhaps you forgot your login info.
Otherwise, people sometime just post "Bump" to bring their thread back to the top.
Unfortunately your original question had no answers, and I don't know this either.
There is a pressure access plug on the driver's side of the 4L60E, but I don't know yet what pressure line that is.
Hopefully a trans expert can answer this for us.

you find out what line pressure you have through a scanner.since the force motor is electronic, how are you supposed to know what pressure its working at?force motors are tranny killers anyway.you go to modding your car and the ecm sends messed up signals to the force motor resulting in incorrect line pressure.go the sure route and install the transgo mod 46 and be done with it.

In other words, it is a very valid question and would be useful to know for tuning purposes. It could also be used as a "wear indicator" for the trans.
