Default Trans Fluid Recommendation

I am going to be installing a deep trans pan and was just wondering what trans fluid you guys recommend. Vehicle makes about 600rwhp and has a "built" 4L65 w/ redline clutches & protorque converter.

Any suggestions would be helpful!

yours is a commonly asked question...........and the common answers are........dex 3.....or dex 6.........some converter manufactures do not recommend synthetics......i run dex 6 and a truck pan and am happy with it

Thanks for the replies so far......

Any of you guys using any additives?

How much fluid does a 4l65E with a 10" converter typically hold?

From Yanks site "Add one qt. Oil prior to installation of converter. We recommend a good name brand ATF in either a Dextron III or a Type F (We do not recommend any type of Synthetic fluid at all.) Dextron 6 is ok."
