Default In the market for a new trans, looking for advice.

I lost my 3/4 clutch pack and figured it's a good time to go ahead and swap a new trans and add a TC. My 1998 LS1 has a cam and headers. I plan to add an intake and TB in the future. Nothing extreme, the car will stay under 500hp. I am looking for advice to see where I can get the most value for my dollar. I don't need a race trans but I am wanting to go more beefy than stock. I am not wanting to use my core.

In my experience the best value for your dollar is to go with a paying Sponsor here. Seriously. I am asked to get involved with transmissions that were built by friends, local shops, someones buddy who works at a dealership, franchise shops and so on... you name it and I have seen 'em all.

There is no substitute for a good quality build from a reputable shop.

Give me a call tomorrow and I'll be happy to discuss options with you whether you decide to go with me or not. I do that for guys all the time.
