higher stall speed can bring your power band in faster , im not sure on that cam i havent viewed the specs and what flow matched heads perform best with it. But a stall change would only change you performance aspects

You should do a search on this topic. There are dozens of threads that cover this topic extensively. You will be able to find enough reading to last you all day.
Here is a good place to start, getting the basics covered first:

I would also suggest doing a search on this in our auto trans section.

The stock stall sucks..... A aftermarket one is better in every way. If you get a good stall like coan, vig., or yank(ify if i like yank or not) it will feel stock in regular driving conditions. It is better from a roll and much better from a dig. They are not hard at all to install once the tranny is out. The reason they say get a stall is that the cam you will lose power in the 1000 rpm -2500 rpm with that cam. Then with the aftermarket stall it locks up better so even feels better in the lower rpm ranges. Then you will be in your power band from a dig with a 3k stall. Yes you can go with out one but your car will not perform as well as it could. Hope this helped

Go with atleast a 3400 or even a 3600. I went with the Yank2800 but I ment to order the 3600 and wished I would have returned it for the 3600. The reason for a converter is to whined the motor up to 3000plus RPM(what ever stall you go with) where your motor makes the most HP than it shifts to first gear than takes off like a bat out of hell! Also if you have a aggressive choppy cam you going to need the torque converter your motor will keep stalling out due to the aggresive cam. So it basicallly whines the motor up where it makes the most Horse power than shift into first gear. I would go with atleast yank 3400 or 3600. If you rarly drive your car it would'nt hurt to go with a yank 4000 usually if you have a really aggresive cam

A guy tunes cars in stl where i live. He tuned a 900 hp shelby cobra with poly motor mounts and the suspension and the car shakes none. He also did mine with the same results. It shakes barley more than stock. He is in the process of tuning my suspension to try to reduce raising the front wheeels. He also tuned the pcm after all of my mods.

When you cam a car 95% of the time your going to have to raise the idle. When you do that with a stock converter it tends to want to push through the brakes.
Not to mention the car will be a complete roach...

Its ok though I know you used the wrong choice of wording lol
OP get a 3600-4000. I like my yank ss3600 alot. It got me into the 11s stock internal without all boltons. Im looking to do heads and cam this year and my tuner believes ill be doing 10s with a very DD friendy setup
