FTI 2800 SRLS3082 feels loose

FTI 2800 SRLS3082 feels loose I have my trans out and am contemplating having it restalled by FTI. It
is "only" a 2800 but I can tell is very obviously has a stall converter in it.
It is ridiculously easy to smokes the 295/35 Yokohama Advan Sports on my car (3500lb Chevelle with LS3 3.08 gear and TSP 225/230 cam). Feels looser than the Yank SS3600 I used to have in an older 02 Camaro which did have
a 3.55 though vs my Chevelle's 3.08. The thing that bugs me about it
is how loose it is driving around say from 20MPH to 50MPH that range is
just really loose and RPM's go way up and down when its unlocked. Since
it is already a 2800 stall what else could FTI do to it to make it feel tighter?

We can change the str ratio to change the way it feels. send her in. Also the gear ratio is much higher so therefore making the converter feel looser.

Sounds good. I'll give it a shot. When you say one year free re-stall I
thought that implied only the stall could be changed. How long does it
typically take to rework one?

I mailed the converter in Monday you should get it Thursday this week.
The transmission is with Gilbert @ ACE Racing Transmissions in Dallas, TX.
We are trying to diagnose a whining noise either coming from the converter
or the transmission pump so keep an eye out for that when you work on
the converter. Any ideas on how long the converter will take to rework?
