Default 3-4 Clutch - Is New Raybestos GPZ100 better than Z-Pak?

In strengthening my 4L65E and converting my "spare" 4L60E into a strong 4L65E, several trans builders recommended the new Raybestos GPZ100 clutch linings instead of the Z-Pak. They came out as a 6-friction plate version last summer for the 4L60E and as a 7-friction plate version (GPZ-105) for the 4L65E just a few week sago. Here is the Raybestos press release:

I bought both a complete GPZ105 kit and a Z-Pak and haven't decided which to use yet (or perhaps one in each transmission.)

Interestingly I also just bought a "stock" rebuild kit from my local shop and was surprised to find the GPZ100 frictions in it.

GPZ100 - Friction thickness of .079, steel thickness of .105.
GPZ105 - Friction thickness of .066, steel thickness of .098.

I built up a 3-4 clutch with the GPZ105 frictions and had a clearance of .070 which is more than I wanted. I therefore replaced two of the GPZ105 with GPZ100 which then gave me the desired .044 clearance.

Does anyone already have experience with the GPZ100 frictions?
Thank you.
