i have heard nothing but good about ptc even though they arent discussed much on here because they arent a sponsor. Who has one and what are your views on it.

Buddy picked up a 9.5 non-billet 3600 for a 5.3 swap we just did. Converter feels strong and feels like its stalled correctly (only two short trips so far). So far we're happy with the decision to go with PTC. If money was no issue I would have steered him towards an SS3600.

I run a PTC 3500 stall in a T-350. Behind my 440 LSX it stalls to 5400 though. That's on the button. On the street it is still nice because the front tires push at 2500 on footbrake. It doesn't have to over rev leaving a redlight.

Thanks guys. What would the difference be between a billet and non-billet converter. Would it be less of a quality built piece? I don't plan on taking my car to the track any time soon so I'm just looking for a decent street converter.

I run a PTC 3500 nitrous convertor. It's pretty tight if you are running on motor only. I just did a 10.75 @ 125mph this past Wednesday on a 100 shot.
Has very good street manners. IMO not a bad converter for the money.

i run a 10.5" PTC race converter that will brake stall to about 4500-5000 depending on how strong my brakes are. With the 4.10s and 28" tires it is absolutely crazy to drive on the street
Normally sits around 2800-3200 taking off from a stop and really locks up in the 4-4500 range. Car will sit at around 5200 until I let off. For just a bolt on car nobody can beleive it, feels like its a 400whp setup easy

Ptc is a great converter and they will do what it takes to make you happy. You will have to tune after the TC Install no matter what stall you put in or the TC won't stay locked while driving down hwy.

PTC has MANY championship cars in the drag radial classes, etc. Their stuff works and works well. They've been around for quite a while.

PTC converters are some of the best around. I've used many converters from nonames to the most popular brands on here and I won't use another converter. Great converter and service.

You act like Yank ripped you off PTC is one of the better 9.5 inch non-billet manufacturers obviously by the responses here. Yank does more billet converters then non-billet i'm sure so we are comparing apples to oranges.
