Default Highway cruising is this ok?

I have a built th350 as seen in sig. I was cruising on the highway at about 70 or so taching 3500ish. This can't be too good for the trans right? it has a big cooler on it. I thought 3:73's and a 28" tire would be ok and perfect for cruising, or so I was told. I know I don't have a lock up converter, just curious if it's ok to drive long distances.

Simple solution: drive slower

Do you have a temp gauge for the tranny? That is a fair amount of rpms, but it seems like as long as the temp is ok and it's not overheating that wouldn't be too terribly bad for it. But driving under 70 couldn't hurt

Similar but different because of the trans,4L60E.
Mine is 2500rpm@60,3000rpm@72.
I run 4.56s',even for long trips(Ohio to Florida). Once on a trip back from Florida on I26 across S.C.,hooked up with a group of fast moving cars and I was in cruise-control at 4000rpm for about an hour.

That rpm sounds right for your combination at that speed. Like was stated earlier as long as you're managing the heat properly it should be fine.

That was the first time I had it out since the swap. I was cruising a little slower than traffic on the way out to a car meet. On the way back I was with a bunch of 6 speeds and didn't want to get lost so I kept up. I don't drive like that all the time lol. Next time the car comes out it will have a trans temp guage. I have it but haven't installed it
