Default Too cheap for tranny work?

I'm about to take my car in to get a new rear main seal put in and at the same time put in a new torque converter. But anyways a local transmission shop around her said they charge $75/hr and he said it would take about 6 hours to do it all. $450 seems to be a too good to be true deal and I wanted to get some of your guys' opinion on it.

I typically charge $300.00 labor for installing a torque converter in an F-Body. Fluids and any other work is additional.

If a rear main seal needs to be replaced it's an additional $75.00 plus parts.

Hope that helps!

I paid 400 for mine to be installed. They let me bring in my own fluid to save cost.

Seems reasonable enough, not cheap but not ridiculous. We charge $350 + fluids to R&I a transmission in an f-body. I have had customers tell me that they were being charged $800-1000 for an R&I job befor....
