Hi all

I posted this in the Hybrids and Conversions section but I was told this might be a better place for it.

I have a 5.3 from a 2002 Yukon (which came with a 4L60e stock) Below are the pictures of the transmission I found for $150. Notice that it is the older, single piece bellhousing. The guy said it was out of a late 90s van.

I have the book "GM LS-Series Engines: The Complete Swap Manual" and I read through the whole Transmission section, and I can't determine weather or not this older style 4L60e will work.

So, can I get this thing to work with my 2002 5.3?

it will work only with a converter to crankkshaft spacer. Spcaer is usually 80-100 bucks. Im running one on my 94 4l60e/02 6.0 combo

Thanks for the reply. How did you get the computer to communicate with the trans?

The 2002 PCM directly supports the 4L60E and the typical computer wiring harness will have the wiring and connector for the trans.
