Default News and Need Your Input (Builders especially)

Our new 4L80E transbrake is done and in production phase. The parts are being machined.
It will allow launching in any drive gear, preferably D3 as opposed to manual low like our current model.

Our current model will likely see a slight price reduction in the near future for those who prefer it and it will also have some hydraulic changes incorporated into it from new ideas we developed on the new brake. Unreal 3rd gear hydraulics on par with some of the very high end TH400 designs.

The new transbrake will have the most advanced design features of anything available for a 4L80E. Some guys asked for ability to lauch from 3rd and let the computer shift it. We delivered.
It is also completely isolated from the PCM and stock wiring, so no tuning issues are expected.

Once the parts hit the shelves and the patent is secured, we'll post an update.

I need input from those who build 4L60E's. Vendors and private builders welcome.
I have developed (on paper) a transbrake. I haven't tested it yet but I can draw up the parts in the next few weeks and get a prototype run made.

How much demand is there for this realistically if I can do one for say less than $450? Maybe significantly less. 300-350?

I will likely leave the seperator plate with "smallish" holes and let the builders tailor their shifts. It will require some experimentation on the builders part because there will be some significant hydraulic changes.

Input please?

I've got a few cars I could try it out on. Is this anything like the Rossler? I would say there is a market if you can keep the price down, $300-$350. And retain the stock pan.

I may have you do the testing then. I'll give you details in a PM or you can call the shop.

We'll need to nail down some orificing that will change completely from a normal type build.

As far as similar to Rosslers. It won't be under the pressure switch like his and won't require a deep pan (maybe a stock truck pan). I"ve never actually looked at his in depth to see "how" it operates.

I did some testing about a year ago on 4L60E and determined a couple of things that WON'T work.

Any complaints about using a button for reverse?

I have a Perfomabuilt Level II 4L60E with a 4200 Vig, will you make a TB for the 4L60 or only the 4l80?

The "manual low" operating 4L80E transbrake will get some hydraulic changes that will be advantageous for big power (1000+) combos in the future when our stock of seperator plates is depleted and we order a new batch of revised plates. Probably a couple of months.

The new transbrake allows launching in 3rd gear and will already incorporate all the circuitry improvements.

If I get enough demand I will produce a 4L60E transbrake. I'm asking what the interest is.

Button for reverse might put a dampening on things. Most of them are daily drivers or get street driven a lot. But in reality it all boils down to the price, If you can keep it closer to $300, I think there is a market for it.
