4L65E Information??? My trans went out on me ;( My transmission in my truck (2000 Silverado Z71) went out last week, and I'm planning on just buying a new transmission. I have heard many good things about the 4L65E and it comes with a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty (GMPP). I am wondering if it will mate up to my motor (5.3 Liter) and if it will work fine with my ecm??? please help me out as i am clueless when it comes to automatics ( hehe, 6 speeds are my thing

i was quoted 2500 for the trans + the install, i think its 1900 for the trans with a core...
