Default Shipping a Transmission..

Hey guys. I need to ship a transmission. Every one I've ever had shipped to me came on a truck strapped to a pallet. I assume this is how it will need to go. But I have no clue who to use, and when I look into freight companies I get asked what class it is etc.

I'm lost lol.

Any ideas?

You can use carriers like R&L Carriers, or YRC Freight.

When we ship we ship class 85/ with the weight of 180.

Thanks for the reply. I got about that quote earlier, however when I asked about insurance they told me the freight was covered at $.10 lb

Any additional coverage would be extra. They quoted another $107 for insurance so now I'm at $287
