Th350 and VSS

Th350 and VSS Alright guys here is my problem, I just recently put a th350 behind my lt1 and now I'm getting a code 24 for V.S.S ( vehicle speed sensor) and the car will not idle with the engine light on. I did a search and took my vss and hooked it up to my front left wheel speed sensor seem to still be having the problem because the speed is not moving any ideas?

Quick question do you have reprogram the computer or is that just to make the speedo accurate? In other words with the vss hooked of to a Wss should the speedo move and give the nesasary signal to the computer?
