You will have to double check your pinouts.

BTW: Did you repin the TCC PWM signal...?

Even if you do the trans segment swap you have to move the pin for the TCC PWM signal at the trans connector.

This is a buddy of the OP. He bought the wiring adaptor from speartech that was plug and play. Is this still needed to swap the pinouts at the trans?

Yes, the new PCM came from a 1999 1500 4.8/4L60e

You will have to check the harness by checking continuity between the PCM connector(s) and the trans connector to make sure it is wired right... you will need wiring diagrams for PCM used on a 4L80E platform and for 4L80E trans connector also.

Problem solved. Turned out to be when one of our other buddies helped us throw the trans in he had plugged in the connector upside down. Too many cooks in the kitchen.....but on a side note, this thing whines loud in first gear and from what I read it's normal, but why?

I dont like playing thread jesus and rezzing the dead, but mine was the same exact problem. My connector on the trans is cracked and allowed the plug to go in backwards. Thanks for the update, saved me a bunch of time.

Which plug was it that was upside down? I'm dealing with the same exact issue and REALLY hope this is all it is.
