Yank or Circle-D?
Need to get a new converter and flexplate for my 01 WS6. It's nearly stock as you see from my sig. I only want to go up slightly in stall and don't want a new tune or a tranny cooler, so I'm thinking 2600-2800. I've spoken a little to both Chris at Circle-D and Dave at Yank and both have been helpful and the price is about the same.
Opinions? I see a lot of positive stuff about Yank on here, but haven't seen as much feedback on Circle-D, although everything I've seen has been positive.
Looking at: Yank Stealth Thruster 2800, Circle-D 278mm HP 2600-2800
Looking to buy soon so hopefully some good quick opinions to help me decide! Thanks a bunch!

My vote is Circle D..... Seriously though, our 278mm HP series is a great choice for a DD. We offer several custom upgrades that make it near bullet proof. The biggest failure is the rear bearing, and our CDS retainer eliminates this weak pint. It will give you years of dependable life. Any more questions, just let me know....

Yank is a great choice, and was the first to LS market with the 278MM in 2600 thru 3200stall speeds back in late 2001. It is a great entry level performer and will net a ET loss of about .4 to .5 in the 1/4.
The SS3200 or SS3600 will give you better mid and top end pull from a roll.
Thanks for thinking about Yank products.

Not wanting a tune or trans cooler is a poor excuse for not getting the correct one. Its what it takes to function properly. You won't be satisfied with the ST 2800. The SS series as Yank suggests is a proven performer. I have over 7 years on my SS 3600. From what I've seen most LS owners prefer the SS 4000.

Then perhaps you should spend your money a little more wisely. Do it right the first time. Putting in a 2600-2800 stall is comparable to someone sticking in an LS6 cam in an otherwise stock LS1. It worked great a decade ago when the choices were limited. Today, there are much better choices available.
My vote is for Yank. That's what I run, and many people I know use them as well, all with excellent results.

It's great to see both sponsors already in here. That proves you made the right choice to pick between Yank and Circle-D. And I agree with everyone else. Get a 3600+ stall and do it right. Get a cooler and tune. I, myself am trying to decide between these two guys and want either a 3600 or 4000 size stall.

I have the Circle D 278MM 3200 in my car and you will love it compared to the stocker. The performance is awesome and you wont know its there until you floor it. For the price you cannot beat it. The 3600 will perform better but it also costs much more. Just depends on what you want.
