Default Able to change lock up MPH in a tune?

Are you able to change what mph to lock up at in a tune? Or does it have to be built into the converter itself that way? Reason I ask, my converter locks up at 50mph and it sucks for city driving. I would much rather it lock up at 40 mph. Thanks in advance.

Thank you sir. How will this affect my performance at the track, if any?

Since you never have the converter lockup at the track, not at all.

What about roll races on the street? Obviously I should keep it below 40 mph to stay in my power band?

I think if you lockup at too low a mph in city driving you may get a lot of bucking/snapping, a good low gear will help smooth it out, low gear/late lockup will burn more gas
I lock at 50 with 3.73 and at 40 with 4.11 and city driving is smooth as glass.
but what do I know---very little
