this was the first thing i was thinking. i was running a poly trans mount with stock motor mounts and found out thats not a nice combo on tailshaft housings so i switched.

to answer your question i believe that any fbody tailshaft housing should work seeing as they are all the same.

93-95 F-body tailhousings are interchangeable within those respective years. 96-97 are also interchangeable within each other, and 98-02 are also interchangeable within those years. So to break it down for you, there are kind of 3 different generations of the F-body tailshaft housing for the 4L60e.

After replacing the tailshaft housing you might want to install an aftermarket torque arm that has its own crossmember!! Spohn, BMR, UMI all have quality parts to prevent this from happening again. I'm using a Spohn chassis mount ta along with their lcas, phb and sfcs. Good luck with the repair and hope this helps!! Larry.

AfterI broke my Tail shaft housing. I upgraded the Torque arm to an adjustable Umi TA and relocating bracket but I also got the LCA's and Panhard bar too just to have everything right. Tail shaft housing's can run you anywhere from 40-100, good luck and remember to replace the bearing in the Tsh, I didn't replace mine and it is going and I will have to pull the housing again hahaha weak.
