Default 4L60E Identification (PICS) URGENT

Hi everyone... I am at the end of my rope trying to ID this transmission. As many have... I purchased this 4L60E from CL and now am stuck matching the flex plate and torque converter. I have taken it to a local transmission shop and called several dealer. I have even searched online and am stuck. and Now the person I purchased the tranny from is no where to be found!!!!

Here's what I'm looking for:

- What type and year of vehicle did it come out of?
- I'm trying to match it to a 5.3L 2001 out of a sliverado...
- Can it be matched up? Will it work?
- What Flex Plate will work?
- What torque converter will match?

The Numbers off the casting:
OLUD210K 25700468

Numbers off the sticker on the side:
610LUDY25700468

24211200

I purchased the flex plate for my motor but it won't bolt up to the torque converter! Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!!!!!!

Attached are some photos from the 4L60E

But look like from the sticker its a 2000 Tahoe trans for the 5.7L 350 so its a SBC trans.

But you can bolt it to a 5.3l you need to elongate the verter holes a little and add a GM spacer or hughes converter bushing. And it will bolt right up!

The sticker looks to show a 2000, But it's also using the 298 input shaft, and most likely the matching bellhousing. Does it have a bolt hole at the 12:00 position? Such setup will not work for an LS based motor. Either this trans was rebuilt at one point for a different application, or it came from a v6 light duty truck such as the S-10.

Thanks for the reply. I have it at a tranny shop now.

They swapped the input shaft and drum. They are telling me that it will work now with the flexplate for my 5.3L and I got a new torque converter.

Does that sound right to you guys?

Does it sound right that the only difference between an early model pictured above and the late model I need is the Input Shaft / Drum and torque converter?

Do you know if it will work with the bellhousing I have?

Thanks! Sorry for the late reply!

Also... how do I go about the decryption of the casting / tags / stickers on the transmission? The dealer and tranny shop couldn't help me.

Is there a web site or some online reference I can use?
