Default Big Problem with 3-4 clutches

I started my rebuild tonight, I lost 3-4 and that is why I am doing this rebuild, now when I got the input housing out I noticed the 3-4 clutch plates had over .120 of movement, book calls for no more than .80, the clutches looked fine and steels did too, I am still adding the Blue plates, but what could have caused the tranny to have extra clearance in the 3-4 clutches?

Default Hey

Hey Trans am kid, All clutch packs will grow with use, if you mike them you'll see that they are thinner than stock ..don't be alarmed, just make sure your clearance is within tolerance when you finish. Hope this helps, Dave
