Another Stall Question
Hey i just bought a 94 Camaro Z28, the car is mostly stock except for a cold airintake, and a shiftkit in the tranny and a flowmaster exhaust..My question is what size stall should i go with? this car is not my dd and i don't do alot of racing..I will be going with an FTI, i have a 3000 stall in my other car, and i am very happy with it..
Another thing i'm wondering about also is what size gears do these cars come with stock? i was told they come with 273's 342's and 323's i know when i'm driving 60mph my rpm's are 2500 i'm thinking i'm running a 342 but i'm not sure...

since your a auto you either came w/ 3.23's or 2.73's. If your shifter plate read's P,R,N,D,3,2 it came with 2.73's. If it reads P,R,N,D,3,2,1 it came w/ 3.23'S.
If your in overdrive ( 4th ) first shifter position after (N) and your rpm's read 2500 at 60mph you have 4.56's......... If your shifter is in 3rd 2nd position after (N) you have 3.23's..
Only time 3.42's would read 60mph ( really 61) would be at 1900rmps in 4th or 2700rpms in 3rd.
As for a converter anything from 2800-3600 would do the job. Depends what your goals are and what gearing you really have.
