It depends on what your driving style / habits are... if you enjoy being 'connected' to the car... go stick. The fun factor is also through the roof... On the other hand, if you are more about going to meXico on the weekends for fun, stick with an auto.

If you have alot of power i would rather punch it and hold on, stick is fun but someone told me at one time stick cars impress high school kids, fast cars have autos, or something like that lol, im sick of dealing with my m6, dumb clutch/hydraulics/shifter,etc

Autos are NOT quicker...They are consitent because it shifts itself (instead of a human variable)

The Manual will hold more power
The manual will live longer
The manual is lighter

IMHO an auto tranny will keep you consistent at the track, but its boring to drive. No Muscle car should have an auto, thats for the family car.

If you don't love a manual car, then don't get one. I personally wouldn't own an auto. Stick cars are a blast to drive IMO!

Agreed. I personally can't stand them, which is why I only welcome auto cars into my garage.

But the last thing we need on this site is another auto vs manual thread. Both transmissions are great, and both suck...just depends on your perception. There is no answer to this debate other than subjective opinions, and it just results in a mindless flame war with no useful content.

Bottom line, it's a matter of driver preference because either one can be setup to handle a big power car, and either one can cause you problems. Do some reading in this and the manual section to decide which challenges are more appealing to you.
