Default are trans depot converters any good?

I was wondering if anyone runs one of these. They seem pretty cheap but are they worth it? I was looking at this one: http://www.transdepot.net/4L60E-Torq...NL-_p_172.html
let me know what you guys think.

Things I noticed:
1. The price. At $350 it's almost as much as a non-billet budget converter from a sponsor or reputable company i.e. FTI, PTC, Circle D, Yank...
2. It's non-lockup so kiss mpg goodbye, won't be DD friendly at all really
3. It's non-billet. For some application that doesn't matter, and all budget converters (<$600) that I've seen are all non-billet.

Just stick with a well known vendor/sponsor or PTC. Revmax is running a sale on their converters: https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...site-sale.html

Mods on your car? Future mods planned? Do you race the car at the track?

It's a 4.8 with 76mm turbo with ls9 cam in a third gen Camaro. I'll be mostly street driving it with an occasional track run

I found a revmax 3600 converter from a member for 275 shipped. It's a fully upgraded nonbillet converter with anti balloon plate. I'm not really an expert on converters so if someone can explain that to me and let me know if it's a good deal that would be awesome

RevMax makes a great converter for great price, do not buy used because you do not know what you are getting. Purchase a New one, just some friendly advise.

You can get a used one, just make sure you send it somewhere good to cut it open and clean it out $125-$200 usually.

I honestly see anything wrong with buying a used converter. They're meant to last a long time in the original vehicle, changing which transmission it is in doesn't change that. Especially if there are only 2k miles on it
