4L60E tailshaft change
I have a 2005 4L60E 4x4 box from a Silverado 1500. I want to use it as a 2WD box so have got the longer tailshaft and tailcone.
I have seen a couple of youtube vidoes showing how to take the box apart. I'm wondering if I HAVE to remove the valve body to get the front pump out and clutch pack, ie if I could pull the pump, do I need to touch the valve body? Over in London UK so trans shops that know the box are not that plentiful, or cheap...like $400 just to change the shaft!
Thanks.....
Gareth
