TH400 no speedo?

Default TH400 no speedo?

I got my turbo 400 a few months back finally got around to hooking up the speedo wires and Im not getting anthing its got a 90s pickup truck electric speedo setup. I got the pigtail from gm I've wired it both ways. Is their a way to test the sensor?

Hook up a multimeter. Put it on A/C volts. It should pulse A/C volts (somewhere around .5V and go up from there).

Is one side + and the other - or ground the meter to chassis

The ground in theory can go to the chassis, but in the stock wiring harness, they both go to the PCM, so I would put the meter on both leads.

I will give that a shot over the weekend, hope its just a pinched wire or something not the sensor

What colors are the wires you are hooking up to that go to the Speedo?
