Default trans temp gauge

looking at installing a FLT level 4 4l60e, ss3600, B&M cooler...im wanting to pick up a trans temp gauge to keep an eye on things so i dont mess all of these goodies up.

what is everyone else running? i was hoping for a aeroforce but i dont know if im going to have enough spare money to swing for a new one.

Personally, while the upfront cost of the gauge may seem high at $235, get an Aeroforce Interceptor from Maryland Speed. It just plugs into OBDII port and you're good to go. Trans Temp is just 1 thing out of 70+ parameters that it can read (2 per screen, up to 8 in a cyclic setup). It's amazing. No bungs to weld to anything. I have mine on just a basic setup that reads trans temp and throttle position right now. It also has performance measurements for 0-60 and 1/4 mile with mph, it can read and clear OBDII codes, and some other stuff.

I bought an autometer sport comp off ebay for about $40 shipped, put the sensor in the pressure port. Works great, usually runs about 150-180 after some driving.

there should be no reason you cant. get a bung welded into the pan and put the temp sensor there.
