Is putting an Auto into N while at a stop light bad?

After installing my ASP underdrive pulley my volt gauge drops almost into the red zone when running the cooling fans, or the rear window defroster. So at stop lights i have been shifting into N instead of turning the stuff off.

You might benefit from some idle speed programming.
I wouldn't worry too much about the voltage drop at idle. I bet if you hook a gage to it, it's still above 12v.
