YANK SS3600/ stock bolt on car?
Anyone running a YANK SS360 or similar TQ converter in an otherwise stock 4th gen Fbod?
Eventually going to do heads,cam... 228/230... (gathering parts)
Current mods on my 2000 firehawk include LS6 intake,PP TB, TSP long tubes 3in ORY, borla exhaust. Want to go ono and get this thing installed.
Thoughts?
** I have owned stalled 4th gens in the past... Car will be tuned with a nice tranny cooler as well. Thanks. Trying not to put the cart infront of the horse. Car is NOT daily driven.

Op, i have almost the same set up as what you want. im running the ss3600 w/ an FLT trans, full exhaust and ls6 intake and tune. I love the way the converter drives, the car is my dd and i think its perfect. for being a 3600 its pretty tight and i have stock 3.23 gears still. im running a big *** cooler and temps are barely reaching 160 after beating on it a little, on the highway ill see a constant of around 125-140 depending the temperature outside. The ss3600 is a pretty much perfect street/strip converter and works well with nitrous (i've been looking into it). You wont regret getting it.

With all the info on this site im stupified that these questions still get asked lol
When I first got my ss3600 my car had full exhaust, cai, lid, and some minor weight reduction. It did 326/334 on a mustang dyno and did this at the track...

a 3600 isnt bad at all, you could probably go a lil higher if you wanted to. I had a 3400 converter in my C5 and it wasnt enough, so i went with a Circle D 4000-4200 and I love it Great 60's at the track and it's still plenty streetable. Im still bolt ons as well.

I say 3600 is perfect for a DD, you will notice a slight decrease in MPGs like .5 to 2mpg. I find myself keeping the car out of O/D just to have more fun with it. I am bone stock except for the 3600 and upgraded rear gears. My wife drives this car and doesn't complain one bit!
