You need to drive the car in order to break the converter in.

Converter break in periods vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. I know depending on what series Yank they usually suggest 150-300 miles I think of regular driving. When I was talking to Greg when I got my FTI he said to drive it easy for 15 minutes then check the fluid and then put the hammer down right away lol

My converter guy told me the same thing. Warm the car up check the fluid. Then put the beating on it.

Op I have the same converter as you and I was lucky enough to have it semi broken in when I sent it to flt so it can be tested with my new tranny, but Dave at yank told me that this wasn't enough and it still needed to be driven about 100 more miles before I beat on it. So there's no way around how your converter needs to be broken in.

No really, no load or heat put into the converter. Just go drive the car like posted, check fluid .

I put mine in, drove 1/4 mile down the street stopped and then let it rip. That was over 7 years ago.
