4l60e swap
i CURRENTLY HAVE A 1998 CAMARO SS WITH A 4L60E IT STARTED SLIPPING SO I'M PURCHASING A 4L60E OF A LQ4 MOTOR OUT OF A TRUCK. MY QUESTION IS WHAT IS ALL NEEDED TO DO THE SWAP. BELLHOUSING? OTHER QUESTION IS ITS COMING WITH A 3200 STALL. HE SAID I MIGHT NEED TO TUNE IT IN ORDER FOR IT TO SHIFT RIGHT IS THIS TRUE OR COULD I JUST LEAVE IT IN WITH NO PROBLEMS?

The big question is - from a 2WD or 4WD drive truck? If 2WD you should be OK. If 4wd, you would need to rebuild the trans with a 2wd output shaft.
Bell housing should be OK; as far as I know, all '98 and later have the same bellhousing. (Although the Torq bolts changed around 2008).
You might need a different rear housing, but that is trivial to swap.
It is highly suggested you get a different tune for a 3200 stall; else you may get "check engine light" codes and in rare cases the trans might occasionally go into limp mode.

You should get a tune to get the rear O2 sensors disabled, and to accommodate your higher stall. Letting the light indicate a "new" problem can save your engine, your trans and/or your sanity.

Yes, your existing rear housing and VSS should work just fine. There is an O-ring between the housing and main case, and the rear seal which you may want to replace.

Just giving a update everything went smooth with the install the only thing that needed to be changed was the rear housing other than that no problems! Man i tell you what that b&m shift kit and 3200 stall really woke the camaro up!
