Default what convertor for DD??

so Im putting my 94 bird together and right now I have the trans apart from the motor and I think it would be the best time to swap out my convertor and maybe have a shift kit installed into my trans, I just picked up a posi unit and 373 gears for my car and I do a lot of highway driving to the city for work, the car will see some track time but not alot, Right now the motor is a 94 Lt1 4l60e stock with shorty headers, I do plan to do some performance upgrades down the road even a procharge if funds allow. So i figure I see what you guys all think I should go with. Thanks.

Yank has good converters and so does vig. I put a shift kit in my 4l60e from transgo and made a huge differeance. It will not be noticable having a different converter

I run a modified Trango kit from Probuilt automatics and the Yank SS 3600 converter. After 7 1/2 years of flawless use, I wouldn't recommend anything else.

Hell no! The converter will concervativly drop you 1/4 by .3-.5. The shift kit might drop .1 if you are lucky.

A converter is a massive differance. Maybe he was saying your daily drive will be near stock. I just installed an FTI 3200 stall in my Tahoe and it is barly looser then the stock converter. But you get on it and you a squeeling tires and shitting and getting unlike when it had the stock stall.

Krzy, Give me a call at the shop and I will spec you out a converter, I would install a transgo HD2 kit while you are at it and I have them in stock as well.

Sorry let me clarify my statement. A stall helps a ton in your et. I meant it still feels like stock driving it normal

What is meant is that a converter will reduce your et by at least 3-4 tenths and yet still drive great under light pedal.'
