Default 4L80e pump bolt torque specs?

Had a leak coming from the pump on my 80 so pulled the pump and put a new gasket, o-ring, and converter seal in it while it was out. Now i need the proper torque specs. Everywhere i have looked i have found it saying 18 ft/lbs but that seems like it would be really low for such a major component. Please help!

ATSG manual says 18ft lbs. proper torque is usually a bunch less than what you think it would be.

I just tore my 80e down to 500 pieces last night. A lot of crap shoved in there.

What are the thoughts on the bolt o-rings and washers? We didn't see any on the 80E we were working with. Do they all have this and could this have been the source of the leak?

I would double check those bolts. I didn't think mine had any either but after careful examination I found that I was wrong. I was under the impression that is the culprit many times also because people don't replace them or remove them and forget. Just a thought but I'm sure Jake would clarify.

After closer examination, mine had o-rings on them. Of course they were all crushed down and brittle. Got some new o-rings, hoping they work.

Well after looking again the bolts do have recessed o-rings in the flange of the bolt.

That's what happened to me and I damn near overlooked it. Glad you guys found them as I was advised to always replace them.
