FTRA and a cooler.
I ordered a B&M 24000 tranny cooler.I understand it will not fit beside the FTRA.Whats not stopping me from cutting the side of FTRA and installing the cooler on the side or even cutting an 11 X 6 (what ever size it is) right in the middle of the FTRA.You still will get the cooling ( very good draw by the fans)to the tranny cooler and still will get good flow from the FTRA.....I see so many people being hesitant in doing this or will the FTRA just draw so much air up and bypass the cooler????
Thanks
Thanks

Yes I saw your pictures earlier. Is your cooler the 24000 B&M?
I don't have the cooler yet and have not really looked under the car but if push comes to shove I may do a little cutting to make it fit.
I really want it to be attached to the front condensor so it will get the benefits of fan cooling and cooling when the car is in motion.

Between SLP CAI and a trans cooler there was almost
no path for the air. If you got a long skinny cooler you
could maybe mount it vertically, beside the FTRA and
not have the shrouding as bad. Or, mount it between
the A/C condenser and the rad (I wish I had seen the
idea for this before I did my install, but am not going to
go redo it now).

Have yoiu looked at the "DOPE" style cooler install. I just finished the install on Saturday. It was a breeze.
The cooler gets mounted under the passenger side headlight I guess you can say. Check out this link, pictures speak a 1000 words
ahh ****, I have the link on my other computer, i'll edit the post later today, if you can't wait, do a search for "DOPE"

I would not cut the FTRA because I believe it would mess up airflow to reach motor. I made this mistake and corrected it by moving trans. cooler where the water reservior once was. Now I have to buy another FTRA. It is tight underneath the car and could be put in other places. Anyway, good luck.

I mounted mine vertically inside the passenger side inlet with one side facing the front of the car. I also used a hole saw to cut out a hole in the back plastic (facing the engine) to vent the hot air out. I had to move the horns and bolt it in place, but it works.
