Default 700r4 vs 4L60e

Are there any dimension differences between the 700R4 and 4L60E? Is the mount in the same location? I know bell housing holes are the same, and the tail shaft housing has more bolts than on the 700r4

Thanks

Scott

Not really. The mount is really determined by the tail-housing. So it could be different in positions, not really that much difference. The four bolt 700r4 tailhouse won't bolt right up to the six bolt 60e's as you mentioned. The bellhouse's on the Gen III/IV units are missing the pass side bolt hole and have the top bolt hole cast. Also the 4l60e will have a VSS.
