Default What is the record for an 4L60E???

Does anybody know what the current record, or if there is one, for a 4L60E? I know most of the big guys are running th350s or better but what about when they didnt have that nasty tranny in there and were still running around with a 4L in it??? Inquiring minds would like to know! JP

In a NA F-body I went 10.03 a few years ago. With todays parts I believe I could run high 9s somewhat reliably.

IMO, no doubt a built 4L60e can run 9s with ease given a light car and consistent rebuilds.

It's still the same tranny. The main difference is a 5 gear planetary. You can add that and the other differences to any 4L60-E.

I hear Rossler has 4l60e's in the 8's. But you gotta figure these trannies CAN'T be lasting too long anyway.

i am sure rossler will state differently. that lingenfelter vette has not had problems since they installed the billet input shaft.

But you have to remember, you always hear the good not the bad. I'm not knocking Rossler, he builds some damn good stuff.
