got my car dynoed today only 650 rwhp wtf. is this my converter doing this??

Default got my car dynoed today only 650 rwhp wtf. is this my converter doing this??

i had the car dynoed today and it will not go over 650 rwhp on 15 psi or 24 psi it is the same and it almost a sec run. im almost positive its flashing right through the converter. any sugestions on what it is

prob is, same thing happened to my friends Trans Am, boost would go up but power would fall off causing it to blow past the converter and it couldn't hold up and slipped way too much. You may need a tighter converter. What rpm do you see on the trans brake and foot brake? Maybe talk with circle D about it to see if they thing it's the converter.

i see about 6k on the brake and about 23 psi. and i ordered a yank eliminator 3500 converter yesterday.

off the shelf converter? I'd get a custom one spec'd out. Typically the load of the dyno can be greater then that seen on the street and can cause the converter not to hold up as well to the load it sees on dyno vs street. GL

Oh, do you see 23 psi on the streets as well?

28 psi on the street and no its custom built converter from yank

you cant always get accurate readings with converters/chassis dynos, esp the loser converters
you may well be fine off the dyno
