Default A4, ssf 3500, and slicks.. will the 10 bolt take it?

just wondering how many A4 guys with a highstall and stock 10 bolt are running slicks or ET streets?
id really like to get a set for the track but i am worried about killing the rear and having a nice big bill to get it towed home..

I did it quite a bit w/ 427 at the rears... no issue on stock 10 bolt. (35 or so passes, several with Nittos, several w/ et streets and 3:73's

It will defnitely hold with your mods......

I have 3.23's now, but had 3.42's that broke 7 teeth off, but that was because the pinion wasn't set deep enough, I changed them saturday, and you can tell a difference in the pulling.....

Its just a matter of time before it breaks something mine last about 7,000 miles of driving and track time before the carrier would break but that was when I was cutting mid to low 1.5's 60ft. imo

Only a matter of time. Mine lasted for a while cutting 1.5-1.6 60's, but the posi didn't like it when I started pulling low 1.5's -1.4's

no problems yet with 3.42's quiet as a mouse since day on. ET's rock with the nice verter nitto's keep them for the street dont waste them at the track, not even worth running.

/me has to go buy new set of nitto's now and find some cheap et's instead of borrowing

Running high to mid 1.5 60s you should (there are no guarantees) be ok for a long time. Even pulling high 1.4s you might be ok for a while but the risk is getting pretty high at this point.

Is your track poorly prepped? I'm surprised with your mods that DR aren't adequate.

thanks for the info everyone... the track seems to be preped well but as more cars make their runs it seems the worse traction gets with the DRs.. ill probably make a few more trips to the track with the DRs before i go with the ET streets seeing as how some of you think i should be doing better with them.. i probably just need to learn how to launch better.

well if you throw ET's on (borrow a pair from a friend) you'll probably realize you have more tire than powah. It was that case for me. i can pretty much do anything and the car just bites down and goes. Track prep and proper launch method is key to DR's when you got alot of torque.

it would be stupid simple to launch with ET's and your car mate. Just burnout, when the lights drop, flash stall and hold on. quite boring actually
