Default 4L60E Budget build advise anyone

Lets be honest guys not everyone here has a thousand dollars to drop into a transmission for the most part I'm sure a lot a members read these forums to learn how a do there own work and some to get advise of course. I truly am going threw some bad times at the moment so I need some advise here. I currently blew my Trans in my 99 Tahoe now it is a 4L60E with removable bell housing and what I blew is most likely reverse planatery which I believe also works together with first gear or what not. I already order manuals on how a rebuild it myself, I live in Miami FL over here these Trans shops are nothing but scam artists. I can't start to tell u the horror stories I've heard and witness. Well I'd like some advise from the pros here if they don't mind I do plan in the future to upgrad my motor a bit maybe 500hp MAX this is a daily driver and frankly I live this body style it's a keeper guys. So I'd like to be pointed the the right direction in what internal parts I need so I don't have to rebuild this Trans later. For now ill need a stock converter as I haven't done anything to the 5.7 as of now. Once I get my want list together an get ready a build the engine all ill need is a convert a match up cam, I take, an gears of course. For now I want a tough Trans that can take some abuse I don't drive like a angle lets just leave it at that hehe.

So what clutch packs?
Servos?
Rebuilt kits? Etc these are the general parts I'd like some of you pros out there a help me out with.

Thx in advance Nester

Ok I know a few ppl with serious tools but what are the special ones I'd need? Maybe eBays got them cheap or I can find them one way or another I've got to do this myself. There's always CL as well plus like most of us we can all always use extra tools

Please see this thread where I answer the same questions in Post #2:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...questions.html

Here are my words of wisdom, repeating a post in this thread:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...ild-4l60e.html

If you are doing this to save money, STOP! Between the cost of the special tools and my estimate that less than half of 1st time builders get a working trans, this is not a good plan.
However, if your goal is to learn about transmissions and will enjoy the process, then go for it. Here are some threads to help you get started:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...p-rebuild.html
https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...-get-them.html
https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...60e-parts.html

As mentioned in one of those threads, while the ATSG manual is useful, this has detailed procedures and color pictures:

GM Automatic Overdrive Transmission Builder's and Swapper's Guide (S-A Design): Cliff Ruggles: 9781932494501: Amazon.com: Books GM Automatic Overdrive Transmission Builder's and Swapper's Guide (S-A Design): Cliff Ruggles: 9781932494501: Amazon.com: Books

---------------
Here is a very long thread of someone who was able to rebuild their trans, but was willing to buy all the tools and parts I suggested:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...n-rebuild.html

The special tools basically are only available on Ebay; you will never see such specialized tools on CL. The various clutch spring compressors are absolutely essential. Experienced people can install and resize the critical teflon rings without the super-expensive tools, but I wouldn't recommend a newbie try it.

A trans has many different parts; assembly is unforgiving and not always obvious.
Seals, sprags and other parts can easily be assembled upside down and result in total failure. Same if you miss one o-ring.

However, if you are looking for an adventure and want to learn a lot, go for it.
