Default 4L60E Upgrades

I've decided to rebuild & upgrade my A4. I am wondering what upgrades would be best and what suppliers you might reccommend.

I want to make it as strong as possible so it can handle future up grades.

Thanks.

go to the sponsors websites and you will have a good idea of what they all do. Not rocket science at this point

What future upgrades are you looking to do as far as power is concerned?

Typical mods would be internal clutch packs/general rebuild and/or a shift kit as well as a stall, deep pan, and a tranny cooler. Wire up a tranny temp gauge as well to watch your investment

Perfomabuilt and Finish Line Transmission (FLT) are the two big names that pop into my mind that are site sponsors for 4L60e builds.

Yank, Vigilante, and Circle D seem to have very high praises for stalls.

As far as a cooler, you can't go wrong with the B&M 70264 kit. Here's a write-up thread I did back when I researched Tranny coolers before I installed mine. I basically compiled all the info I could find on them, and put it into one place:

There are many threads on this subject. Start here:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/automatic...n-rebuild.html -- The first page discusses rebuild kits.

If you are really serious, look into this:

Unless you want to spend $4000+, why not document your needs and power level, and a list of proposed parts for us to comment on.

Bear in mind that there is indeed more to it than parts, However WIT "WHATEVER IT TAKES TRANSMISSION PARTS" is a good source for the psarts if you chose to build your own,
