Default How to correctly store a 4L60

I tried Googling up some tips for storing automatic transmission but couldn't find anything at all... My T/A spun a bearing and I'm on that baller college student budget, so it gets to sit for a summer while I source an engine but I know that sitting is bad for the auto in it. Can anyone chime in on how to make sure the clutches stay wet and the transmission healthy?

Thanks,
Kyle

I would get hold of a clean wooden pallet and plastic wrap it very good to prevent moisture and humidity from going in. Dont leave it on the floor.

with converter in it and dipstick tube with yoke in rear using the dipstick as a guide over fill to just shy of the vent tube area. then cover and you should be good. The overfill will prevent possible mositure accumulation as oil runs off parts and prevent rust.
