4l60e Rebuid Near Detroit Michigan. I had my trans rebuilt by a "performance" shop that is now currently out of business I guess and here I am 11, 000 miles after my rebuild and my trans is fried again. Just wondering if anyone here knew of any places I could take it to or even if you have recomendations where to get a trans from. Also im not made of money and i am on a budget but still dont want to go cheap. I eventually want to H/C the car so I would want to build it for a higher hp application. I basically want a street monster that would still make a great DD because thats what it is to me lol.

Like always, you get what you pay for. If you go cheap, don't expect the transmission to live long through the abuse you'll put it through.
Why don't you take a look at one of the sponsors: Performabuilt, FLT, RPM have good reputations for building the 4L60E.
You might pay a little more but it's probably worth it if you aren't re-doing it every 11,000 miles.

Thank you for the info guys I will be sure to check those places out. If you have any recomendations for what convertor I should get and what shift kit or other upgraded tranny parts I should use in this rebuild it would be appreciated. I would really hate for it to blow in 11, 000 miles again. Thank you
