Default 4.3 4l80e convertor

I'm currently looking for a budget converter to go behind a mild 5.3. With a 222 duration cam and a 4l80e trans. A local builder suggested a 4.3 convertor. Done alittle searching and it seems like a good budget way to go. What would that stall at? NTC in chicago said 175 for a new unit. Not a bad price since I have been quoted 600 and up. This is no race car. 1956 Chevy Mild cammed 5.3 with 4.11 gears Thanks

FTI has some really nice converters for around $350. Check out summit or contact them directly on here.

I'm sure you researched it but don't go getting just any 4.3L one. I think the only 4L80E/4.3L combo was the 2500/3500 full size van late 90's early 00's. All the other 4.3L converters are for a 4L60E I think.

Today the trans shop by my house installed one behind a 6.0 truck. Stock motor that stalls on the test drive around 2200. Not bad. 2001-2003 2500 vans came with a 4.3 & 4l80e trans. I really think I'm gonna order one today. With my budget getting thin and I want to drive my car

Dont you mean 4.8? Or there is a V6 4.3 with a 4l80e behind it. I wanted to know what 1996 5.7/4l80e convertor stall to?
