Default 4l60,80e question

i am piecing my build together. now, my question is i have a 04 ls motor and would like to know if any of the older trans will work or do i have to get a trans out of a ls series van or car? thanks for the info in advance.

A '98 through '06 4L60E for a 2WD V8 will work best as that is probably what the PCM was designed for. (Assuming this is not a 4WD vehicle.) An older 4L60E will require some adapters and might not be electrically compatible with your PCM.

ok thank you. i wasnt sure if it was possible.. no, its not a 4x4 vehicle. its going to be a hybrid swap.
