Actually the tracks only 600ft ,but converter helped more than i expected.lid and headers on 99 camaro a4 2.73s best run 8.20.now just adding 3800 circle d ran 7.64 first pass and really still still not sure how to leave with converter.

I run a Yank 4000SS, when I changed from an Art Carr 2800 to the Yank 4000SS I went from 12.2 in the 1/4 to 11.9. It is amazing how much better the cars perform when they stay in the powerband and not have to come back to it. As for how you should leave on the converter that's something you will have to find with your car. I personally leave my car at idle and stab the gas when the light changes and let mine flash. I run 315 drag radials and consistently pull 1.5 60ft's

Swapping out converters make a good difference in a lot of cases. Does your car spin at launch?

You dropped that much time with the converter because you have 2.73's in your car.

Yes it spun some with 26 11.50 16 et streets, couldn't do a good burnout due to wheelhop.and yes your probably right with 2.73s it flashes high.
