Default Vacuum Modulator issue?

Well, about a month ago i pulled my 4l60e out of the Camaro for a rebuild. So i got it rebuilt with nothing fancy just got the job done so this thing is stock as well as the motor, a 99 ls1. Well come to find out a few days later the computer wasnt telling the transmission when to shift so i had a local shop put on a VM kit. well its been about a month and no problems. nice firm shifts all the time. but yesterday i noticed that it wasnt shifting where it normally did. It just kept on revving up then it shifted, that goes for all gears. but today i noticed that when i put it into park after driving for a bit rpms shoot up to about 1200 and sit there at idle. to me that looks like a vacuum leak, but could a faulty VM maybe have a vacuum leak somewhere and cause the transmission to run like that?

Im not to big in the Transmission department but If anyone can help that would be great, if not ill just take it back to the shop because it should be under warranty still.
