Jakes Performance TH400 manual valve body install?

Jakes Performance TH400 manual valve body install? Posting this on here for help how to install this and a reference for others.
I purchased a TH400 full manual valve body forward pattern from Jakes Performance. It came yesterday and included the valve body, 2 gaskets, and a separator plate....and also a vacuum modulator plug I requested. No instructions.
I did some searching around and found instructions from ATI, COAN, TCI, and Hughes. All are slightly different (forward pattern and reverse pattern?) and im guessing depending on what is done to the valve body itself might make a difference????
1. Do I use any check *****? Or just bolt valve body on and go? Or do the check ***** have anything to do with engine braking in different gears?
2. As described in Hughes instructions but no one elses, do I need to modify the modulator shaft by grinding 2 flats on it?
3. Do I need to remove one of the seals off the center support as the TCI instructions show? My trans is in the car and together.....i'd rather not.
4. Anything need to be done with the rear servo like in the Coan instructions?

I already modified the regulator spring in the pump per the Transgo valve body kit instructions. Also the springs on the direct drum were replaced with the Transgo kit.
Any instructions or help would be appreciated. Thanks.
