The stock converter in my '02 checked out at 1900. Seems like I remember my '00 checking out at ~1850. (This was done by using the "2nd gear start" feature available '00+.)

Yank's site lists the stock converter at 1600 with a 1.8 STR.

If you have a '00+ F-body you can literally start off in second gear by placing the tranny selector in "2". Even at WOT it will not downshift to 1st. Try it.

This can be used to check the true stall speed of a converter. All you gotta do is hold the brake to the floor, hold the throttle to the floor, and monitor the RPMs (best done with Autotap.) BE CAREFUL doing this! You don't want to run over anything/anybody!
