Arrow Yank ss4000/4l60e going bad???

Well after getting the newly GM spec'd rebuild on my 4l60e plus installing the Yank SS4000 ive been driving the car without a hitch, until last night. After hanging out at the local meet a few guys decided to go out and make some pulls....I made 3-4 pulls then decided to hang it up for the night. On the way out to our spot I noticed that when overdrive I was getting a good amount of surge at about 60/70. In, out in out but then It was fine. I made my passes and when going home on the freeway the convertor would not lock up at all. In about 40 miles it locked up once and when I gave it gas it started surging like crazy. Anyone know whats going on with this thing? I have brand new DEX6 Castrol fluid, 24k cooler and the tranny has been tuned by a good friend of mine Dennis at REDLINE Performance. I hope this tranny isn't going out. Ive owned 3 other F bodys and can say they are the biggest piles of $hit when It comes to transmissions. Thoughts?

Sorry I should have mentioned that. Car only has a lid trans tune and convertor. Tranny is fresh rebuild with less than 1000 miles and the convertor was a ss3600 sent to yank and restalled to 4k so its all been checked out as well. I have put about 100miles on the car since this stall/tranny combo has been installed.

so you bought the combo used since you only put 100 miles on it after the install and it had 1000 miles on it before the install??
