Hey this is my first post since becoming a member. I have a 2002 camaro ss SlP.. I believe my 2nd gear band burned up reason being is it skips 2nd and when it does go into 2nd it just revs as if it were in neutral until i floor it then it grabs but i have to release so it can shift into 3rd. Im not sure how to go about this replace rebuild or whichever is cheaper. My main question is will a truck transmission or van fit it as long as its a 4l60e? im sure itd have to be 98-02 im just not sure where i can pull it from.. All answers are greatly appreciated.

your cheapest option will probably be a replace performed by you, you can pull a 60e from most anything you like, the internals where not changed from model to model surprisingly enough.
